Joshagan rugs are named after the
small town of Joshagan located in the province of
Esfahan, in the North-East of Iran. They are
characterised by geometrical floral designs arranged in
shapes of diamonds woven all-over or a
medallion-and-corner layout. The background colour of
Joshagan rugs could be either deep red or deep blue,
and the border is usually beige or blue. Joshagan
rugs are ideal to give value and emphasise an
upmarket environment. |
