It is the city of Nain produces
one of the finest and sophisticated carpets in the
world. The Nain carpets are very sophisticated,
in spite of this center of Iranian weavers have only
started its activities in the 1950s. They are woven in
wool on cotton, with the contour of the design in silk,
to give an effect of luminosity. The design is composed
by a central roundel well worked, in standard Shah-Abbas,
with flowers, rarely with animals. The predominant
colors are blue and ivory, and can present in some parts
more rare red or green. |
